Navajo handwoven rugs are a treasure. Navajo women can spend as long as six months creating one of these beautiful rugs. The rugs tell stories, teach lessons, and are a representation of our people and our history.
The Navajo people take great pride in all of their handcrafted art. We are humbled to know that anything created is a symbol of the beauty that surrounds our home. When you visit the Navajo Village Heritage Center, you will have the chance to participate in the weaving process. You will learn about the meticulous process our people use to create these beautiful rugs and intricate jewelry.
